No. Servers

You need a license for each server where you want to install XLeratorDB SuitePLUS 2008 (Subscription). When you are ready to download your licenses you will be prompted to supply the server name, which is the Windows NetBIOS name of the machine.

Licensing Opt

The licensing options are 'Standard' and 'Extended Licensing Option' ('ELO').

The Standard license permits you to install the licensed software on a named server or servers where it can be used indefinitely. Without ELO you will not be able to get updates to licensed software or transfer the licensed software to another server.

ELO gives you access to the latest version of the licensed software and allows you to transfer the licensed software from the current named registered server to a new named server as needed. ELO does not permit you to have the licensed software installed on more servers than specified in your order. ELO is available for 3- and 5-year terms.

Clustering ('Failover' clustering only; not AO/HA)

Specify the cluster option for server nodes in a Failover-Clustering configuration (does not apply to Always-On/High-Availability groups). The options are 'Non-Clustered', 'Active/Active', and 'Active/Passive'.  Select A/A or A/P only when the XLeratorDB software will be installed in a SQL Server Failover-Clustered configuration.

When using a (non-AO/HA) Failover-Cluster, specify the number of 'Active' server nodes only in the 'No. Servers' field - do not count passive servers or the virtual cluster server. Do count passive server nodes for Always-On/HA clusters.

System Requirements

XLeratorDB 2008 requires SQL Server 2008 or greater. It does not require Excel, Analysis services, Reporting Services or any other packages.
